What separates a well-designed lighting project from a bunch of poles in the ground? The first one starts with a calculation, not a product catalog. The brief from the recreation complex in Pidhirtsi was refreshingly simple: comfortable at night, good atmosphere, the right vibe.
1. Step One - DIALux Lighting Calculation
Before selecting any poles or bollards, we ran a complete photometric analysis using DIALux software. This answered specific questions: what pole height gives uniform coverage across the parking area, where exactly to position garden bollards along the pathways, and whether any dark zones would appear between fixtures.

Illuminance distribution map: green and blue zones show optimal coverage.
2. Two Lighting Types - One Visual Concept
The complex has distinct zones: a parking area and access roads that need bright, elevated lighting, and pedestrian pathways and relaxation areas where atmosphere and comfort matter more. Each zone got its own fixture type.
Street poles at the parking zone - uniform coverage across the entire area.
-
Street poles:
Installed at the parking area and main entrance. Height was determined by the DIALux calculation to ensure even coverage without glare.
-
Park bollards:
Placed along pedestrian paths. Clean modern design blends into the landscape by day; at night, they softly light the way without overpowering the surroundings.
Park bollards at night - atmospheric and comfortable path lighting.
3. In-House Manufacturing - Quality at Every Stage
All metal structures - both poles and bollards - went through a full processing cycle. Cutting and welding at our own facility, then hot-dip galvanizing at a certified partner plant, and finally powder coating in anthracite finish. Every stage tracked and controlled, from the first weld to installation on site.
Park bollard during the day - minimal, clean design that fits any landscape.
- Hot-dip galvanizing: Corrosion protection inside and out - metal lifespan exceeds 25 years even in wet conditions.
- Powder coating: Anthracite finish (close to RAL 7016) - UV-resistant, won't fade or peel over time.
- LED components: Energy-efficient modules with long operational life.
